Thanks and Happy New Year:

First of all, I want to thank all of those who went to a comic book store that was participating in Indy Comic Week. As an independent artist, writer, and publisher, it is greatly appreciated when people take time to browse, ask questions, and notice our work. That alone, keeps us going with bring you our best works of art and comics.

Now for some other thank yous, I want to thank those who were able to attend the Amazonia Signing at Brainstorm Comics and Videos in Chicago. It was a great time to be had by all. Meet a person who was visiting from Colorado at this signing and had enjoyable conversations with all who came out in the snow.

A Special Thanks to Kim Moseberry (Ebony-chan) for participating in the comic signing and bring samples of AWF #2 with her. She generated alot of interest in this comic series. Things are looking good for her to be the full time artist for this comic. Speaking of which, Issue #1 is completely penciled and inked. I am puting the final touches on some pages before getting them scanned and colored.

Thank you to all who bought the Amazonia #1. Due to your purchase, Xigency Studios, Inc. was able to bring more comic series to you like the upcoming AWF comic. Don't worry! Amazonia #2 is in its pencilling stages by its creator as we search for a new artist for the series.

Lastly, A thank you to all who has been there for Xigency Studios, Inc. during it phases of becoming a legitimate business. Thank you goes toward people like Adrian Adams, Kim Moseberry, Terry Huddleston, Jorden Mosley, Charles Johnson, Rhonda Carpenter, Keith Niles, Ashley Woods, Joe Currie and Joel Zimmerman for keeping me encouraged, being there to offer advise and wise council, and keeping me in mind as a person to network with during the continued efforts towards excellence in our chosen callings.

Finally, I also want to wish all of you and Happy and safe New Year(2010)!! Hopefully, it will bring many glad tidings to you. And hopefully for me, further growth of Xigency Studios and the comics we create.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Thankfulness:

First and foremost, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years.

To think, 2009 is almost over and 2010 is almost here. This makes me thankful for alot of things that occurred this year. For instance, I am thankful that Xigency Studios became a reality and that it is incorporated. I am also thankful for the great people I met along the way in getting this company up and going. People like (Adrian A., Kim M., Peter P., Ashley W., Joe C., Jorden M., Terry T. and Roger V.) are great asset and friends to have in this line. They are not only encouraging. They also will be a foot in my ass when I am not doing things up to par. I am thankful for all the people who visit this gallery on deviantArt and the main company site. I am thankful for the few who purchased Amazonia #1 and gave me a chance to start a great comics series. Most importantly, I am thankful for all of those who can by, looked at my art, purchased art, asked questions, shared stories, and just took time to befriend an artist/writer who is trying to break into the comic book market!! Without you, I would have given up awhile back.

Also, Xigency Studios has started to work on exclusive artwork for Daisho Con 2009 this year. More artwork from AWF and Amazonia as well as some other anime favs will be made as prints for sale for this con.

The original artist/writer will be back penciling and inking on both series from time to time. For now, he want to concentrate on the writing and scripting of  Amazonia  Issue #7 and AWF #2 - 4.

And Overdue Update After Wizard World:
Xigency Studios apologizes for long time between updates. Wizard World was great except for a few things. None of the major comic publishers(Marvel, DC, and Top Cow) showed up. However, we were able to network with alot of fellow artists and writers. Also, local artist has approached us for use of their services for future issues of our comic titles. Amazonia #1 was a success at the con. Xigency Studios will extend the Wizard World Deal to the web site until Sept 30. When you buy issue #1, you will recieve the Chicago Comic Con exclusive art print for free.

Overall, the con was a success for both Xigency Studios and Irie Manga Studios. Currently, Xigency Studios is getting closer to finishing issue #1 and started scripting Issue #2 of AWF. Also, negotiations has started with other artist to work on Amazonia #2 and AWF #2.

This is alot to take on in this short span of Wizard World and this update. Hopefully by the next update, we will have release date for AWF #1 and plans for Daisho Con in November.

Final Preparations For Wizard World:
As Wizard World/Chicago Comic Con draws near, Xigency Studios has been creating new art prints and con exclusives for the event. Check out the Wizard World site for this deal. We will be offering an exclusive Amazonia print free with the purchase of Amazonia issue # 1. It maybe also purchased for $5. This will be one of may many new art prints we will have at Wizard World/Chicago Comic Con.

If you are planning to attend this year's Wizard World/Chicago Comic Con, don't hesitate to stop by our booth that we are sharing with Irie-Manga Studios. Bring questions and comments about our work to us while we are there.

Preparations For Wizard World:
Happy Fourth of July!!! Xigency Studios has added a preview of AWF #1 onto out Deviant Art site. You can now see 4 unfinished Black and White pages from the actual upcoming issue. Check the AWF preview page for the new art work.

Also, Xigency Studios is working on more prints which will be sold at Wizard World/ Chicago Comic-Con 2009. A new AWF print will be amongst these new prints.

Lastly, Xigency Studios has added more information on the Comic Resources page which I thought some of you may find it helpful to know where you can find reliable resources.

Setbacks, Lost, and More Comic Resources:
Xigency Studios is currently going through some emotional as well as business set back. My father has past away on June 18, 2009 from a long bout with cancer. Today, I will be at his homegoing ceremony in Monroe, Louisana.

At this time, I would like to take a moment to give a  little memorial to him on the site:

Joe Lee McFee
July 10, 1946 - June 18, 2009
You will be missed.

With this event happening, work on AWF #1 has slowed to a crawl due to dealing with lot of family issues steming from my father's death. Xigency Studios may have to postpone the premiere of  AWF #1 until after August 2009.

Lastly, Xigency Studios has added more information on the Comic Resources page which I thought some of you may find it helpful to know where you can find reliable resources.

Site Changes, Comic Resources, and Confirmations:
Xigency Studios made some superfacial changes to the web site to make navigation a little better. Some extra and redundant content has been removed from the site.

Also, Xigency Studios has added a comic book resource page to the site. This page will contains information, references and businesses that I use to produce our comic book lines. I thought some of you may find it helpful to know where you can find reliable resources.

Lastly, I recieved confirmation last night that Xigency Studios and Irie-Manga Studios is officially registered for artist alley at Daisho Con 2009. I am looking forward to this con since I was able to get on board with the con from its beginings last year.

AWF, ACEN, Wizard World, and More:
Xigency Studios has been quite busy over the last few weeks. Xigency Studios is now completely open for business and is recognized by the State of Illinois and the federal government of the United States as a comic book publisher and retailer.

AWF#1 is on pace for a possible release for Wizard World/Chicago Comiccon 2009. This issue is about halfway completed. Work is still being done to get this ready for the printers by July 6, 2009.

Xigency Studios also did not attend this year's ACEN. However, we were able to send one of our associate, Adrian Adams, at Irie-Manga Studios in our place as a normal con attendee. He reported back with some good info from panels that were there. However based on his report, it seemed like the con was not as good as previous years due to the fact that it was held on Mother's Day weekend and the it was being ran under different chairman. Hopefully, next year's con will be alot better.

Lastly, Xigency Studios and Irie-Manga Studios are registered for this year's Wizard World/Chicago Comiccon. This will be the first year that Xigency Studios will be in Artist Alley and will be offering art prints and our line of comic books for sale at the con.

Promos, lost data, ACEN, and other info:
Xigency Studios has had an pretty eventful month. 5 of 22 pages of AWF has been completely drawn of which 4 has been inked, a Amazonia promo piece is almost completed for Wizard World Chicago, promo pieces have been drawn for AWF, and issue #1 of AWF will be sent to copyright office next month.

As there is good news, there is also some bad. Due to some IT issues, we lost some data off of external hard drive which may make some things difficult to reproduce in electronic form in the next few weeks. However, this will not have any impact on comic production or artwork for upcoming cons. It is more or less an inconvienece to take care of.

It is still unclear if I will be attending ACEN as a convention goer. After conflicts, a purchased weekend pass, and the fact that it will be on Mother's Day weekend, it still may appear that I may attend for a day. I also hear that this year con may be better than last as far as program is concerned.

AWF #1, Amazonia #2, Wizard World and More:
Xigency Studios has confirmed with Wizard Entertainment for an artist alley table at Wizard World Chicago 2009. We (Xigency Studios and Irie-Manga Studios) are waiting on final arrangement from Wizard World as far as the logisitics on where the table is located and press info. In addition to this the first 3 pages of AWF #1 has been drawn and almost ready to ink. We are still trying to get it copyrighted before Wizard World.

Also, artwork on Amazonia #2 has begun as well. The first two page has been started nothing has been finalized. Previews of both issue may appears on our Deviant Art Site soon.

Economy, Cons Issues, and Site Changes:
Xigency Studios has been going through alot of changes as of late. We have recieved from our web provider that the shopping cart/web store service is being discontinued. This will force us to build a new webstore which is underway now. There will be a slight change on how we process orders starting May 2.

Also, Xigency Studio has cancelled plans to be at Anime Central 2009 due to lack of confirmation of  a table and financial concerns from Irie-Manga Studios.

On a brighter note, AWF #1 is completely written and will be sent to the copyright office. Work on Amazonia #2 and AWF #1 has started and a possible deadline of August 2009 for Wizard World Chicago due to financial concerns on production.

Comics, Cons, and other info..Oh My!!:
Amazonia #1 is in stock and available at our online store. Covers for Amazonia #2 and #3 has been completed. Work on pages for Amazonia #2 has begun. The cover for AWF #1 has been completed. AWF #1 is now being written and work on pages will begin soon.

Xigency Studios has also been confirmed an artist alley spot at Anime Central 2009.  Xigency Studios is working on getting an Artist Alley table at Wizard World 2009. Nothing has been confirmed with Wizard Entertainment as of yet.
